Capacity with coordination.

A cluster brings several nodes together under a shared operating model. The runtime must know which nodes are available, what each can run, and what authority a project carries.

Adding machines is one part of the system. Work placement, identity, failure recovery and evidence determine whether that capacity can become useful execution.

Build for the workload.

Inference, retrieval, experimentation and other workloads place different demands on memory, storage and networking. The right topology follows those requirements.

More nodes do not automatically create one shared pool of accelerator memory. Model distribution and parallel execution depend on the selected hardware, software and interconnect.

  • Discover and qualify node capacity
  • Place work within declared resource and policy boundaries
  • Track execution separately from connection health
  • Keep outcomes and evidence tied to the project

A cluster can become part of something larger.

Compacitas defines the node and compute cluster. Capacitas extends the infrastructure story across multiple clusters, sites and operating boundaries. Participation in that federation should be an explicit decision.
