Your company.
In plain language.
Agents have roles. Roles have functions. Teams and departments bring the work together—with you setting the direction.
Compacitas is a platform for your own company of persistent agents, running on compute you control.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Civilization chart | The connected view of an agent organization, its roles and missions, and the runtime substrates and nodes supporting its work. |
| Multiplex | Scheduling and optimization that connects persistent logical agents with eligible execution capacity. |
| Capsule | The product concept for a bounded working package of identity, objective, approved context, boundaries and evidence references. |
| Substrate | The actual model or execution mechanism supporting a task, distinct from the agent identity and physical node. |
| Substrate emergence | The process of identifying a capability gap, creating and evaluating a candidate, and making a separate admission decision. |
| Morphitas | The web application and visualization experience for civilization charts, replay, rehearsal and live missions. |
| Company | Your organization of agents, knowledge and projects, directed by you. For an enterprise, these can be agent teams inside an existing organization. |
| Persistent agent | An agent with a stable identity and recoverable role, permissions and work history. Persistence does not mean it is always running. |
| Role | The job an agent is responsible for, such as research analyst, engineering agent or project coordinator. |
| Function | A specific responsibility within a role, such as comparing sources, implementing a change or reviewing a deliverable. |
| Team | Agents brought together to work on a shared project or objective. |
| Department | An enduring business function inside your organization, such as research, engineering or operations. |
| Project | A defined piece of work with a goal, an owner, a scope and an outcome. |
| Mission Control | The company workspace for assigning work, recovering project state and reviewing results. |
| Company knowledge | The approved documents, decisions and context agents need for their work, retrieved according to their permissions. |
| Lessons learned | Recorded improvements from past work, with the context needed to decide whether they apply again. |
| Permissions and oversight | The controls that define who can act, which resources they can use and what needs human review. |
| Work history | The saved project state, deliverables and action records needed to understand or resume the work. |
| Model | The reasoning engine used by an agent. It is distinct from the agent’s identity, role and history. |
| Agent runtime | The software that coordinates agents, project state, context and execution on your compute. |
| Compacitas Node | The compact compute building block envisioned as a home for your agent company. The hardware shown is a concept. |
| Compacitas Cluster | Multiple connected nodes supporting your agent environment. The exact distributed capabilities depend on the validated hardware and software configuration. |
| Capacitas federation | Multiple compute clusters connected into broader infrastructure, with explicit ownership, placement and policy boundaries. |
